Campus Description

Y.A.L.E School’s Mullica Township campus, located in Elwood near the White Horse Pike and Atlantic City Expressway, serves students 3 to 14 years of age with autism spectrum disorders.

The program provides full-day, educational programming, with extended school year services available. Classrooms offer low student-to-staff ratios. Instruction is based on the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an evidence-based treatment shown by research to be highly effective. The Mullica Township campus operates within a public elementary school, giving students the opportunity to receive highly specialized services in a setting offering interactions with typical peers.

To improve student outcomes, every goal in a student’s IEP is measured objectively and frequently. Performance data are often graphed. Changes to each student’s instruction and services are based on data trends, clinical conferences, parent conferences, and IEP requirements.

Testimonials about Y.A.L.E. School Mullica Township

Parent

I have to honestly say I was nervous when searching for a new private school for my little man. Before I came to see Y.A.L.E I had already visited numerous schools and wasn’t impressed with any of them, it just didn’t seem like the right place for my son. As soon as I walked into the classroom that Elijah would be placed into at Y.A.L.E. School, I instantly knew this was the right place for him. It warmed my heart to see my sons comfort level with his future classmates and staff. The whole program is “Outstanding” I was so impressed with the way they collect detailed data on each child to pinpoint any weaknesses they might have and focus on making them into strengths. I’m so grateful for every last one of them and I have very high hopes for my son’s future in the program because he continues to excel greatly.”

Maria McClure

Public school district representative

“My name is Maria McClure and I am a social worker. I had the wonderful experience of working with Y.A.L.E. School Mullica Township. The program was easy to be reached by phone or in person. The teachers and staff were cooperative and helpful with suggestions. Y.A.L.E. School went above and beyond what they needed to do, in my experience. The entire Y.A.L.E. program was very friendly and welcoming in all of my interactions with them.”

Ethan started out in a preschool program for 3 year olds with disabilities. This is when and where we got the diagnosis all parents dread hearing …autism. He showed improvement in our home district but it became evident that placement outside our district was going to be necessary. I toured several out of district schools but Y.A.L.E. Mullica Twp. immediately felt like a perfect fit for my son. He loves going to school and the staff—I do as well! I know there is no where else I could send him to get the support he needs to learn. The ABA model they use in the classroom has benefited Ethan.  (more…)
