Campus Description

Y.A.L.E School’s Mullica Township campus, located in Elwood near the White Horse Pike and Atlantic City Expressway, serves students 3 to 11 years of age with autism spectrum disorders.

The program provides full-day, educational programming, with extended school year services available. Classrooms offer low student-to-staff ratios. Instruction is based on the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an evidence-based treatment shown by research to be highly effective. The Mullica Township campus operates within a public elementary school, giving students the opportunity to receive highly specialized services in a setting offering interactions with typical peers.

To improve student outcomes, every goal in a student’s IEP is measured objectively and frequently. Performance data are often graphed. Changes to each student’s instruction and services are based on data trends, clinical conferences, parent conferences, and IEP requirements.

Testimonials about Y.A.L.E. School Mullica Township

“My son has shown great improvement in self-regulation and coping skills.  Thanks to Y.A.L.E., he has improved academically and he’s happy to do his homework alongside his twin brother. Now he is proud of himself and his accomplishments. I worked with him for over a year trying to teach him to ride a two wheel bike.  Within two months at Y.A.L.E., Corey was riding a bike without training wheels! He refers to his classmates as friends now, which is a very big deal to a parent of a child with autism!  (more…)

Y.A.L.E. goes above and beyond to attend to the needs of your child. Our son has been at Y.A.L.E. for three years now. Every step of the way we have felt assured and secure in the education our son is getting. Every day there is communication with details of the successes or struggles he has had. Y.A.L.E. allows us to breathe. We aren’t constantly fighting to get him services, or questioning if he is progressing. We truly feel blessed to have the team at Y.A.L.E.; they have completely changed our son. He is so much more amazing for having gone to Y.A.L.E..”

I have to honestly say I was nervous when searching for a new private school for my little man. Before I came to see Y.A.L.E I had already visited numerous schools and wasn’t impressed with any of them, it just didn’t seem like the right place for my son. As soon as I walked into the classroom that Elijah would be placed into at Y.A.L.E. School, I instantly knew this was the right place for him. It warmed my heart to see my sons comfort level with his future classmates and staff. The whole program is “Outstanding” I was so impressed with the way they collect detailed data on each child to pinpoint any weaknesses they might have and focus on making them into strengths. I’m so grateful for every last one of them and I have very high hopes for my son’s future in the program because he continues to excel greatly.”
