The Y.A.L.E. School presents guest speaker S. Paul Prior, Esq. of Hinkle, Fingles & Prior, who will deliver an evening workshop for parents and educators entitled Planning for a Self-Directed Life: Getting the Support You Need and Paying For It on Thursday March 27th from 7–9 PM at the Cherry Hill campus.
Parents will learn how to identify, access and maximize government funded programs and services, including SSI and Medicaid, DDD services and DVRS services; learn about guardianship and other options for surrogate decision making for vulnerable adults; learn about estate planning and special needs trusts; and learn about the full range of services for young adults who may need supports and services to maximize independence.

This event is open to the public, educators, and parents of current Y.A.L.E. School students at all Y.A.L.E. school campuses. Y.A.L.E. School staff members are also invited to attend. Childcare will not be provided and seating is limited, so we kindly request that parents do not bring children to the event. Free parking is provided at the school. Light refreshments will be served.
