Yoga at the Northfield Campus

Yoga at the Norhtfield CampusResearch has shown that yoga can be used to help children with Autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, cerebral palsy, learning and other disabilities. “Yoga helps children develop a sense of awareness of their bodies, as well as their mental and emotional states,” said instructor Steve Mullen, who teaches yoga classes at the Northfield campus every Thursday. Mullen helps students focus their energy through an integrated series of balanced yoga poses designed to increase body awareness, strength, and flexibility. He also teaches students specialized breathing exercises and relaxation techniques to improve concentration and reduce hyperactivity.
