Y.A.L.E. School, in conjunction with Camden County College and PACT presents: “An Evening with John Elder Robison” on Tues. November 15, 2011 from 6:30pm until 9:00pm at Camden County College’s Blackwood campus. This lecture is sponsored by the Y.A.L.E. School and is a part of an ongoing public lecture series offered by the Center for Civic Leadership and Responsibility.
John Elder Robison, NYT Best Selling author of Look Me In the Eye and Be Different is coming to New Jersey to share his unique perspective on growing up with Asperger’s. He has been a game designer for Milton Bradley, has toured with rock band KISS, has created a signature Les Paul guitar for Ace Frehley (along with other stage instruments), and operates an elite car restoration company as a highly successful niche entrepreneur. He will be speaking about his own fascinating journey through life as an individual with an autism spectrum disorder.
This lecture is appropriate for individuals with an autism spectrum disorder such as autism, Asperger’s Disorder or PDD-NOS; family and friends of persons with an autism spectrum disorder; teachers, social workers, school administrators, clinicians, and nursing staff. Educators who attend the lecture event will receive professional development credits.
